Digging to find the truth

As a young lawyer I was provided the opportunity to pursue discovery against the Asbestos Information Association of North America (AIA). We took the deposition of the AIA executive director Mathew Sweetonic and the PR firm of Hill & Knowlton. We struck gold and uncovered documents concerning the AIA public relations campaign to distort the truth about the dangers of asbestos and combat the efforts of OSHA and NIOSH to regulate asbestos and minimize the exposure.
