Georgia Pacific Hit With 9.4 Million Dollar Mesothelioma Verdict
By: Chris Placitella @ Aug 15, 2015
A Florida jury awarded $9.4 million Thursday in a construction worker’s lawsuit alleging his work with the company’s asbestos-containing products in Saudi Arabia decades ago caused him to develop a deadly form of cancer, finding the company had negligently marketed a defective product.
The plaintiff was diagnosed with terminal mesothelioma, a cancer that attacks the lining of the lungs and has become associated with asbestos exposure.
Congratulations to my friend and Colleague James Ferraro and James Ferraro Jr. of the Ferraro Law Firm for this fine result.
