Introducing Erin Young – CPR Labor Liason

union leader Erin Young

Over the years Cohen, Placitella & Roth has represented literally thousands of union workers and their families who have been wrongfully injured. In order to better service our union clients, we enlisted the help of long time union leader Erin Young to assist us.

Erin is also the Political Director of Workers United, Philadelphia Joint Board – a union representing nearly 9,000 members in Philadelphia and New Jersey across various industries including food services, laundry, retail, manufacturing, and textiles. As part of her responsibility as Political Director, Erin works to educate and engage members in the political process to ensure the election of candidates who support pro-growth policies for workers. Erin also coordinates government relations for her union on the local, state, and federal levels.

Erin was born in New Jersey, and having grown up in a union family, she learned at a young age the value of workers having a collective voice. Erin began her union career in 1996 as an intern for the Southern New Jersey Central Labor Council. She worked as an organizer for the United Food and Commercial Workers as well as a Business Agent for Workers United.

Erin is the daughter of Laurel Brennan, the first woman to be elected Secretary-Treasurer of the New Jersey State AFL-CIO. Erin resides in Flourtown, Pennsylvania and is the proud mother of Jack Young.
