In addition to providing an the annual update on the important developments in the law and individual mass tort cases, this year’s mass tort and class action conference will feature the judicial perspective from the mass tort state and federal trial courts all the way to the New Jersey Supreme Court. Justice Anne Patterson will start out by providing practical advice on how best to frame appellate briefs and arguments. Our judicial panel will then address important topics including changes to the federal rules affecting mass torts and class actions, Rule 104 Hearings, Voir Dire & Jury Selection, Limitations on Discovery including Ex Parte Interviews of Treating Physicians, Selection of “Core Discovery” Cases and Bellwether Trial Cases.
