OSHA Budget Plan

Congressional Republicans want to cut the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) budget by 20%. OSHA’s director says that the reduction would be devastating to the agency’s efforts to protect worker’s safety. During the Obama administration, OSHA’s budget was increased and they were able to implement new regulations that the Republican Party defines as “job killing.” In addition, the Republicans claim that OSHA enacts expensive rules without regard to their effect on business.
